STAY A MAGICAL NIGHT ON THE HARBOUR

For a truly unique experience in Sydney, spend a night on the water aboard our brand new Bavaria Cruiser 33. Located adjacent to Luna Park and the Harbour Bridge, you will be able to fall asleep to the sights and sounds of Sydney Harbour in the background.

Our yacht stay has been featured on Airbnb's "feel like they're living in the movies" promotion and Airbnb's Instagram feed.

HOW IT ALL WORKS:

We will pick you up at Lavender Bay wharf when you first check-in (it's right on the other side of the Harbour Bridge from the city). If you choose the evening sailing tour, we will take you out around the harbour and then leave you at our mooring in Lavender Bay. Otherwise, we will take you straight to the mooring, where you will stay the night.

In the morning, we will come and take you back to the wharf to drop you off (or out for a morning tour is you so choose).

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:

From April - October, check-in time will be 530pm. Checkout is 1030am. Times can be flexible but please discuss that with us prior to your arrival.
From October - April (during daylight saving), check-in will be 730pm and checkout at 930am.
If you are doing the morning or sunset tours along with your stay, then the check-in/check-out times will vary.

WHAT TO BRING

- You’ll need some food for dinner and breakfast. We don't have heating facilities on board so we recommend that you bring food that is ready to eat (think of it as a picnic on a yacht). We have fridge on board that you can use
- Drinks (alcohol is fine)
- Swimming Gear
- Camera

WHAT NOT TO BRING

Please limit your bags to one soft bag per person (plus your food and drinks) and please wear soft-soled (non marking) shoes. Please don’t wear heels, black shoes or suitcases as it causes significant damage to the fibreglass.

FAQs:

• What is a mooring?
A mooring is a buoy in the middle of the bay. Hence, the yacht is not at a marina, where you can easily walk on and off the yacht. To get on and off, we use either a powerboat during business hours or a dinghy after 430pm and before 930am.

• Do I need a boating licence or boating experience?
Not at all. Our skipper will drive the yacht during the sailing tours and to get on and off the mooring. You are welcome to join in when we are sailing to help crewing and take control of the helm as well.

• Can we get off the boat?
Yes, you can certainly go for a swim. However, since the yacht is on a mooring, getting onto dry land isn't straightforward. If you do need to get off the yacht during the night, Yellow Water Taxis can pick you up and drop you back at the wharf

• Will staying on the yacht be safe?
Absolutely! The yacht is brand new and equipped with all the safety equipment since it is in commercial use and NSW Maritime have very strict regulations in that regard.

• Will I get sea sick?
It depends on each individual. Since the boat is on the water, it will rock a little bit. However, Lavender Bay is well sheltered so it is generally quite calm, especially overnight when the traffic on the harbour stops. So most people that stay on the yacht have no problems. But if you are inclined to get sea sick or are unsure about how you will react, then we do recommend you that you bring some sea sickness pills. There are no refunds for sea sickness so please take all necessary precautions.

• What are the facilities like?
We have a 150L water tank on board. Electricity is supplied by two batteries on board. There are no power points that you can use however we use have a 12V plug that you can use to keep your phone charged (please bring your own USB connection). The boat has limited resources in terms of water, electricity and waste/toilet disposal facilities, so please use only what you need. Please also note that you are staying on a charter boat so the experience is more akin to "glamping" (glamorous camping) rather staying at a five star hotel. Your expectations of the facilities should be adjusted to reflect this.

• What about children?
We are happy to have kids on board. However, they must weigh more than 20kg since thats the size of the approved life jacks that we have on board. So unfortunately, that means no infants and toddlers.

Hope to see you soon
